Dulce de leche by way of the good ol' crock pot!

  1. You got it!
This is a great recipe because it's just a basic one, make as much and add whatever you want!

2 cans sweetened condensed milk (or more if desired)
1 vanilla bean, split and seeds removed
    Fleur de Sel
Mason jars with tight fitting lids

Place milk, vanilla, and 1 pinch fleur de sel into the mason jars, leaving about 1/2 inch space at the top. Tighten the lids until they're VERY tight! Place the jars into a slow cooker and cover with hot tap water by about 1 inch. Cook on low for about 8 1/2 hours or until it's as dark as you desire. The darker it becomes, the thicker and sweeter it becomes. But be sure not to go past 9 1/2 hours or you risk the chance of burnt caramel...and not in the tasty way!

    Enjoy!! <3
